Annam Nasir is a Director & Solicitor in our Dispute Resolution team, based in our Stourbridge office, specialising in Contentious Probate matters.

Annam is recognised in the Legal 500, is a full member of the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS) and the Contentious Trusts Association (ConTrA).  Annam is also a committee member of Women in Wills and the national Contentious Wills and Probate lead for the group. Annam has also judged the British Wills and Probate awards since 2024.

Annam has over 12 years’ experience in advising clients on all types of inheritance and trust disputes.  She also has experience in dealing with complex, high value and cross-border estate disputes.

Annam’s recent experience includes the following:

• Advising pre-trial on the effect of deathbed gifts (known as donation mortis causa) in a high profile case heard in the High Court, with a value of c.£3million –Rahman v Hassan [2024] EWHC 1290 (Ch).
• Validity challenges to wills and lifetime gifts based on lack of capacity, undue influence and lack of knowledge and approval.
• Inheritance Act claims.
• Trust disputes.
• Removal of executors.
• Disputed attorney/ deputy appointments.
