Talbots Law have always been committed to raising money for good causes, and our staff have taken up a number of challenges over the years for the benefit of local and national charities.
Our nominated Charity of the Year has Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity since 2018, a cause close to the heart for many of the Talbots team.
We set ourselves an ambitious target to raise £30,000 in 2018 and thanks to the efforts of all our staff we smashed that target and raised £50,000. In 2019, our aim was to raise another £50,000 and we were thrilled to reach that target, all through the efforts of our teams taking on extraordinary challenges to raise money for the benefit of the charity.
For 2020, we wanted to continue to support the charity, but took the decision to focus our fundraising to benefit Birmingham Women's & Children's Hospital's Woodland House Appeal and you can read more about the vital work that they do in supporting bereaved parents here
We had hoped to raise a similar amount for this appeal, but as everyone knows, events have overtaken us and, whilst we battle our way through the current pandemic, all our plans are on hold, and it may be some time before we can pick them up again. For as long as social distancing is a reality, the adventures and challenges that our staff had planned, just can't happen.
Whether we are able fundraise during 2020 remains to be seen, but you can be sure that our plans are not cancelled, just postponed.
In the meantime, at Talbots Law we always encourage our clients to remember a charity in their will. Click here to read about how you could help to write the story for tomorrow's children by remembering Birmingham Children's Hospital in your will.
