UPDATE 17th March 2020: In light of the risks posed by the Coronavirus, and current government advice, we have taken the decision to immediately suspend all networking events until further notice, including Pint After Work, and Stourbridge Breakfast Club.
We have a duty of care to both our team and to our guests, and we believe that this is the right course of action to take. We wish the best of health to all our networking contacts and look forward to meeting up again when we no longer need to keep our distance socially.
We hold regular networking events and seminars throughout the year, and the latest details of our 2020 events are here. Employment Law Seminar
At Talbots we pride ourselves on knowing our stuff and we like nothing better than sharing our knowledge with others.
That’s why we’re hosting a free employment law breakfast seminar at 8am on Thursday 13th February, at Hagley Golf Club. Reyhana Koser, a specialist employment lawyer at Talbots, will:
- explain some recent legal changes in a practical and straight forward way;
- help you apply your new employment knowledge; and
- show you how to manage your people more effectively while staying on the right side of the law.
The seminar will help you to remain up to date with the latest developments in UK employment law and prepare your business for the year ahead.
A bit of detail . . .
We will begin by discussing a recent hot topic: the importance of mental health at work. We will also review some of the latest developments in UK employment legislation and the landmark legal cases in 2019 - from TUPE and workers, settlement agreements and contribution towards legal fees, covert surveillance and privacy rights, and carry-over of annual leave.
We'll conclude with a look at what employers can expect in 2020.
So whether you are a business owner, decision-maker or HR manager, get yourself along to this Talbots Law seminar on 13th February for an action packed and informative session.
Places are limited, so please confirm your attendance by emailing Marketing by Friday 7th February
