Sophie Matthias is a Solicitor in our Trusts & Estates team, working in our Hanley office.

Sophie has experience advising clients on wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, probate, estate administration, and Court of Protection matters. She supports clients through both straightforward and more complex issues, providing clear and practical guidance throughout the process.

Sophie graduated from Keele University in 2020 with a First Class Honours degree in Law before completing her Legal Practice Course and Masters in Legal Practice at the University of Law in 2022. She qualified as a Solicitor in 2024 and is currently an Associate Member of STEP, working towards full membership.

Having worked in legal practice since 2018, and specifically within trusts and estates since 2020, Sophie has experience across all aspects of private client work, including drafting simple and complex wills, preparing LPAs, estate administration, obtaining Grants of Probate, and Court of Protection applications.
