Sarah Bolt is a Director & Solicitor in our Dispute Resolution team, based at our Worcester office.
Sarah has over 15 years’ experience specialising in Private Wealth disputes and Court of Protection litigation. She advises a wide range of clients, including private individuals, charities, both lay and professional representatives, on complex and often sensitive matters. Sarah is particularly known for championing and protecting the rights of vulnerable individuals.
Her work covers the full breadth of contentious wills, trusts, estates, mental capacity, and financial abuse matters, both in the UK and offshore. Sarah regularly conducts her own advocacy, including mediations, and is focused on delivering clear, accessible advice to help clients achieve practical and proportionate outcomes.
Sarah qualified as a solicitor in 2012 and became a Partner and Head of Will, Trust, and Estate Disputes at Culver Law in 2024. She has held senior roles at firms including Irwin Mitchell, Freeths, Hugh James, and has also gained international experience practising in the British Virgin Islands with Harney Westwood & Riegels LP. Her experience includes acting on a range of disputes, such as:
- Financial abuse and elder abuse, including steps to safeguard vulnerable individuals
- Misuse and abuse of powers by attorneys, deputies, trustees, executors, and administrators
- Capacity disputes and disputes in the Court of Protection
- Care home and care costs, including intentional deprivation of assets
- Contested (and defended) Wills and Inheritance Act claims
- Trust and estate disputes, including administration issues and Asset Protection Trusts
- Home ownership and trust disputes, including asset recovery
- Business succession and farming disputes
- Agricultural and farming disputes
- Legacy and charity disputes
- Funeral and burial disputes
- Cross-border estates and offshore trust disputes
- Professional negligence in will/trust drafting, estate and trust administration, and acting in a professional capacity
Sarah also delivers training through seminars, webinars, and bespoke sessions, helping clients and professionals stay up to date with legal and regulatory developments.
