Martin Lord is a Director and Chartered Legal Executive (FCILEx) for Restructuring and Insolvency in our Dispute Resolution team, based at our Coventry office.  Martin deals with all aspects of insolvency law with a specialism in personal insolvency.  He advises individuals, office holders, companies, directors and lenders, and seeks solutions and outcomes that best resolve the financial and legal challenges for those for whom he acts.

On leaving college, Martin started work in a town practice which offered a full range of legal services from matrimonial and crime to probate and conveyancing.  Whilst with the firm he centred on litigation and in particular mortgage lending and repossessions.  Martin subsequently moved to one of the largest law firms in Coventry, initially continuing in the financial field and litigation, before moving on to undertaking the recovery of monies owed to HM Revenue & Customs and the disqualification of directors on behalf of the DTI.  He went on to further specialise in insolvency, predominantly with a personal bias, and completed two further periods of employment with niche practices, which offered exclusive insolvency and litigation advice.

Martin qualified as a  Legal Executive in 1988 since which time he has remained a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives.
