Kristy Ainge is a Director & Solicitor-Advocate in the Dispute Resolution team, based at our Worcester offices and supporting clients across the region.

Kristy advises clients on a broad range of contentious matters, having specialised in a broad range of civil and commercial litigation disputes throughout her career. Kristy qualified in 2014 and obtained her higher rights of audience within 2 months of qualification, enabling her to provide any required advocacy for her clients. She works closely with her clients, and provides the personal, human touch.

She specialises in all disputes relating to land or property, including boundary disputes, party walls, easements, rights of way, restrictive covenants and ownership of land including proprietary estoppel, and claims under the Trusts of Land Appointments Act. She can also advise on landlord and tenant matters, professional negligence and particularly enjoys injunctions, due to the urgent nature of the work.

Examples of Kristy’s work include the following:

  • Dealing with a complex farm dispute, which includes claims of nuisance, trespass, harassment, and a boundary dispute. The matter was successful in a 6-day High Court trial, with her client’s recovering 75% of their legal costs.  Reported case: Williams v Johnson [2015] EW Misc B45 (CC) (14 December 2015) (bailii.org)
  • Dealing with a complex neighbour dispute between estranged families. Resulted in a successful settlement prior to trial. Kristy was contacted by the other party a few months down the line to act for them in respect of another matter!
  • Acting on behalf of a University campus, obtaining an injunction for trespass against protestors on university land. Kristy was successful in getting an interim injunction within a couple of days, ensuring the university students’ exams were not compromised by the protests.
  • Acted on behalf of a Company in respect of a breach of contract claim for £340,000 and successfully defended an application for summary judgment.
  • Settled a claim brought against a client’s company for gas and electric for over £100,000. After careful consideration of the readings and usage, the case settled at £25,000.

“Thank you for the result on Friday.  I think it’s fairly accurate to say that achieving nearly 100% costs is somewhat of a rarity in proceedings like this, we were optimistic for around 80%.  We’re thrilled with this verdict and you’ve been instrumental to this successful outcome – thank you.”  – Carl, February 2026
