James is a co-owner of the firm and prides himself in offering all clients no nonsense advice. Specialising in Residential Conveyancing, he is also Head of Private Client Residential Property.

With a strong following with many local property professionals, he is renowned throughout the industry as someone who has great attention to detail and gets the job done. He has a robust problem-solving approach, which enables him to quickly appreciate a client’s requirements.  It is this that has resulted in his strong following amongst high net worth property clients including professional sportsmen.  James also deals with equity release, high value transfers and company purchases of property.

He lectures Law for Wolverhampton University, and also likes to nurture young talent within the firm; many of his previous assistants and students go on to become principal lawyers.  His career has taken in time at Shoosmiths Solicitors and Davisons before he joined Talbots in 2004. He became a Partner in 2010.
