We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Family Lawyer to join Talbots Law in our Sandbach office with a view to growing and developing our private family offering to clients in the area.

 

This position would suit an ambitious Senior Associate with a minimum of 5 years PQE looking to take a leading role in a department with a view to progression to Directorship. Alternatively, for the right candidate, we can also consider applications for those seeking a move into a Director level role.

 

As a Senior Associate / Director, you will be advising high net worth clients on a broad range of privately funded family matters. You will also have the opportunity to supporting and mentor junior fee earners and support staff to ultimately grow the department in the long term.

What the job involves;

  • Working across a variety of privately funded matters including Divorce, Financial remedy, Domestic violence, Children law / Children Act applications, Emergency applications and orders, Adoption and Special Guardianship.
  • Advising upon and conducting proceedings to secure the proper course of action and balanced favourable judgments.
  • Utilising the Company’s case management system to its best effect in order to manage case load as well as record time so that files can be billed efficiently.
  • Support the development of the Family Law Department and the Company as a whole in growing its client base by the delivery of an excellent service.

 

What you need:

  • To be a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with a minimum of 5 years of post-qualified experience, specialising within Private Family law.
  • Strong working knowledge of financial relief.
  • Proven track record of conducting own litigation in court from commencement to conclusion and passionate about giving outstanding client care to clients and referrers.
  • Excellent advocacy, business development and networking as well as people management skills, and previous experience running a team.
