We’re looking for a highly organised and motivated Paralegal to join our thriving Personal Injury team within Talbots’ Dispute Resolution Department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with at least 12 months’ Paralegal experience—ideally with exposure to Personal Injury or broader Dispute Resolution—who is ready to take the next step in a supportive, high-performing environment.
As a key member of our Legal 500‑recognised Dispute Resolution team, you’ll work closely with our Lawyers to deliver accurate, timely and high‑quality support across a varied caseload, with a particular focus on personal injury and clinical negligence matters. What does the job involve?
- Assisting Lawyers by providing general legal and administrative support by preparing standard court forms and bundles, liaising with courts and counsel’s chambers as to listing of hearings and conferences
- Administrating client matters using SOS case management system such as file opening procedures, document preparation and formatting
- Diary management including the booking and scheduling of client appointments and liaising with clients
- Take initial payments and prepare postings slips whilst ensuring compliance with SRA, Lexcel, Law Society Quality Scheme standards, SARs and accounting requirements
What you need:
- Around 12 months experience as a Paralegal within a civil or commercial litigation department with exposure to personal injury claims advantageous
- Passionate about giving outstanding client care and service with excellent communication, interpersonal and team working skills.
- Excellent administrative, planning, organisation and time management skills to meet deadlines.
- Experience using a case management system such as SOS and MS Office applications to undertake a range of administrative duties in a paper-light working environment.
