We are looking for an IT Technical Lead to join Talbots in a full time position. To be successful, you will need to have at least 3 years’ experience of a hands-on technical role supporting Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and modern end-user computing.

 

As an IT Technical Lead  will be expected to act as the firm’s senior hands-on technical specialist within the IT Service Delivery function, responsible for ensuring the smooth running, stability, and continual improvement of the firm’s end-user computing environment, workspace technology, and telephony infrastructure.

What the job involves:

  • Lead all technical implementation of office technology projects and moves, including connectivity, telephony, and hardware installations as well as managing and maintaining core workspace infrastructure such as printers, meeting-room AV and telephony systems.
  • Identify opportunities for service improvement and automation, feeding into continual improvement plans whilst leading on IT projects, delivering technical workstreams, testing, and go-live support.
  • Serve as the firm’s senior technical specialist for end-user compute, acting as escalation point for complex support incidents and problems escalated from the IT Service Desk.

 

What you need:

  • At least 3 years’ experience of a hands-on technical role supporting Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and modern end-user computing.
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, printers, and telephony systems with a proven track record of coordinating on-site technical projects and office technology installations.
  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels and be able to build and maintain strong working relationships with those around you.
  • Excellent administrative, planning and organisation skills to meet deadlines, understanding the importance of working to strict timescales.
