Reyhana is a solicitor within our Employment team, based primarily at our Stourbridge office, and provides expert advice to both businesses and individuals.
With over 15 years’ experience Reyhana provides employment law advice and HR support to various sectors on all aspects of employment including recruitment, contracts of employment, handbooks/policies, changes to terms and conditions, business reorganisations and redundancies (individual and collective), management of absence and poor performance, disciplinary, dismissals, complex grievances and employment disputes, family friendly rights, discrimination, enforcement of restrictive covenants and tribunal proceedings.
She has gained experience in advising various sectors which include manufacturing, retail, transport, charities and educational providers as well owner managed businesses and SMEs.
Reyhana regularly works with the corporate/commercial teams providing support with redundancy programmes following corporate reorganisation and assists with due diligence on corporate mergers and acquisitions, managing the TUPE transfer of staff, assessing the potential for employee claims and drafting appropriate warranties and indemnities.
A strong advocate, she also regularly presents employment training courses on a number of employment law topics.
Reyhana advises individuals on a full range of employment law issues and has successfully represented individuals of various levels of seniority. She has assisted individuals negotiate more favourable contractual terms, defend performance, capability and misconduct allegations and achieved re-instatement following dismissal. Reyhana also has expertise in negotiating favourable exits for her clients without the necessity to instigate legal proceedings while ensuring that their career and reputation is protected.
She prides herself on providing straightforward and focussed advice and from the outset always ensures that she has a strategy in place to meet her client’s objectives.
Reyhana obtained a BSc in Psychology/Sociology and her CPE qualification from City, University of London, completing her LPC at The University of Law, London. After completing her training contract with Birmingham City Council Reyhana then spent 13 years with an employer’s organisation acting for companies from various sectors providing employment and HR advice and assistance.
Outside of work, Reyhana enjoys travelling, walking, cooking, reading, socialising and spending time with her family. She has volunteered for various projects abroad her most recent being Kenya and Tanzania where she worked in schools and orphanages.
