John Graham

John is an Associate Solicitor based at our Stourbridge office, working in the Dispute Resolution department and mainly dealing with private law financial/property disputes.

John has a law degree from the University of Birmingham and later studied at Guildford College of Law where he obtained a professional qualification.   John was trained at Baches, West Bromwich and following qualification as a solicitor, he was with Tanfields of Dudley for many years until their acquisition by Talbots in 2010.  Over the years he has acted in a wide range of civil litigation and family law issues.  He specialises in property disputes, including those between joint owners ("TOLATA" claims).  These often arise where unmarried couples own or occupy their home jointly, and through disagreement or relationship breakdown cannot agree on how to deal with the property and equity in it.  Other property disputes on which he can advise include issues over boundaries and walls, and other rights and liabilities that go along with property ownership and occupation.  John can deal with all stages of claims from initial advice to court representation.  More recently, he has developed an interest in dispute resolution through mediation, and has qualified as a mediator.

John enjoys performing arts, music, theatre, ballet and food and drink.  He is a Member and past President of Dudley Rotary Club, a [ast Churchwarden and member of the bell ringing band at All Saints' Church, West Bromwich.

John is ethnically pure Scots but his parents emigrated to Kent before he was born.  He used to enjoy a bit of drama and performance, but for some years his public speaking has been channelled into court appearances rather than amateur dramatics.
