Claire Cooper

Director Commercial Property

Claire trained as a Commercial Property solicitor at a local Worcestershire firm and then specialised in individual and corporate insolvency in Birmingham for 10 years, where she developed a niche in the property related aspects arising from insolvency. Claire then returned to a commercial property focused role in the Black Country before joining Talbots, where she brings her insolvency experience and expertise to the commercial property department.

Claire deals with all aspects of commercial leases and buying and selling commercial property, as well as buying development sites for commercial and residential development, including advising on option agreements and overage provisions. She also represents some of the UK's leading banks and specialist finance companies dealing with secured lending, including particular expertise in acting for property bridging lenders.

Claire prides herself on understanding a client's objectives and assisting them achieving their aim in a pragmatic and commercial manner, finding solutions to issues along the way - nothing fazes her, and she has a can-do attitude.

When not in the office Claire enjoys spending time with her family, at the Devonshire coast whether at sea or on dry ground. Claire also enjoys the theatre (both treading the boards herself or simply watching), a glass of wine and chocolate cake is also welcome!
