Good Divorce Week 2025 takes place from 10th to 14th November, and Talbots Law are proud to support this important initiative led by Resolution, a national organisation of over 6,500 family justice professionals who believe in finding better, more constructive ways to separate.

Each year, Good Divorce Week raises awareness of how families can reduce conflict during separation and make informed choices with the right legal and emotional support. This year’s campaign focuses on the Resolution Code of Practice, which promotes a respectful and solution-focused approach to divorce and family breakdown.

What Is the Resolution Code of Practice?

The Resolution Code of Practice is a set of principles that guide divorce solicitors and other family professionals in helping clients resolve disputes with dignity and understanding. By following the Code, family lawyers commit to promoting communication, fairness and cooperation — always keeping the best interests of any children at heart.

This philosophy aligns perfectly with the approach of our divorce solicitors at Talbots Law, who prioritise empathy, collaboration and long-term wellbeing in every case.

“We Want Every Client to Have a Good Divorce”

Kelly Perks, Family Solicitor at Talbots Law, says:

“Divorce is often seen as one of the most challenging life events, with financial, emotional and psychological consequences for both adults and children. However, there is help out there.

At Talbots Law, we pride ourselves on putting families first all year round by supporting clients holistically and encouraging creative solutions. We want every client to have a good divorce, because whilst separation is never easy, with our person-centred approach, the process doesn’t need to be unnecessarily difficult or painful.”
