Holiday disputes solicitors
When you book a holiday, you expect a couple of stress-free weeks away. But, when things don’t go to plan, your relaxing break can take a turn for the worst. At Talbots Law, we believe that a bad break deserves good compensation. When our clients return from a disappointing holiday, it’s our job to put things right.
Flight delays, lost luggage, misconduct from staff, poor quality accommodation or food can all lead to a disappointing break. After the holiday, you might not consider taking immediate legal action for compensation. But you could be entitled to it. When you take a vacation, the trip should be worth the money you paid for it. If an individual or company made this impossible, you deserve to be indemnified for your loss.

Holiday dispute FAQs
What do I need to make a holiday claim?
Whatever the issue, it’s best to wait until you get home to seek legal advice before making your claim. However, there are steps you can take while on your holiday to strengthen your claim. For example, if you received poor service on your flight, make a note of the date, time and exactly what was said. If you can keep a record of the name of the person involved, even better. Collecting any evidence you can regarding your claim such as photographic evidence, receipts, medical records or witness statements will only help in making your claim stronger.
Together, we’ll review the evidence and contact the party responsible to request that they accept liability and compensate you accordingly.
I’ve suffered an accident abroad – what can I do?
If you suffer an accident during your holiday, you may still be able to make a claim in the UK courts if the accident wasn’t your fault; however there are complex rules surrounding this and ability to pursue the claim will vary case to case.
Your first move once home should be to seek specialist legal advice. We’ll gain an in-depth understanding of the circumstances in which you were injured in order to advise on whether we believe your claim would be successful.
Where your claim is accepted, we’ll proceed by building your claim from information and evidence before submitting it to the party at fault. If they accept responsibility for your injury, we may be able to secure compensation through skillful negotiation. Similar to any personal injury claim, the severity of the injury along with the level of evidence you have against the liable party, the more likely you are to be compensated for your injuries.
However, if your claim can’t be processed in the UK, we will advise you about your next steps and whether or not we can progress with your claim abroad.
No matter how complex the claim, our holiday dispute solicitors will do all in our power to ensure you are compensated for your loss. To start your claim, call Talbots Law today on 0800 118 1500.
