The Furlough Scheme was a lifeline for a lot of businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, since it came to an end on 31 October, we have experienced a rise in the number of employees seeking advice on settlement agreements they have been offered by their employer terminating their employment.
Despite the Scheme saving a huge number of jobs, there are still businesses who continue to struggle and may not survive. The offer of a settlement agreement is an alternative way of exiting an employee from their employment rather than put them through a lengthy redundancy process.
Here at Talbots our experienced employment solicitors are able to offer prompt professional advice. We offer same day appointments at any of our offices and can also advise remotely if appropriate. We have also put together some of the most frequently asked questions, which you can access here.
If you have been offered a settlement agreement by your employer and require advice then please contact the Talbots Employment Team on 0800 118 1500 or email Reyhana Koser
