The annual 2019 Black Country Business Festival starts on Monday 13 May and it's the second year of this exciting festival of business that will see more than 100 varied events going on all over the Black Country during the fortnight.

The packed programme contains almost every sort of business event imaginable. There are showroom and factory tours, speed networking events, digital forums, business golf days, escape room challenges, round table debates, conferences, breakfasts, lunches, dinners and workshops of all sizes themes and descriptions.

As a key partner and sponsor of the Festival, Talbots Law are leading the Professional Services sector, with Ian Bond, Head of Trusts & Estates, Sector Lead for the Festival:

"I am delighted to champion once again the Professional Services sector. With over 8,800 businesses employing some 73,000 people, this is a very significant sector in the Black Country, strengthened in recent years by a considerable increase in the number of businesses in the region. The inaugural Business Festival in 2018 really showed the Black Country’s commitment to service and innovation and enabled our Professional Services to forge an enviable set of long-term, sustainable and mutually beneficial relationships with the region’s businesses. I am proud of our Black Country heritage and enthused by the future.”

As well as leading the Professional Services sector, Talbots Law is sponsoring the Festival and also running six different and inspirational events, including the Professional Services sector lead event, the thought-provoking The Future of Professional Services Firms Lies in Expertise Automation, featuring legal futurist (or ‘robot lawyer’!) Chrissie Lightfoot.  See below for more details.

Tickets to events must be booked in advance via the Black Country Business Festival website and are available on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. But don’t leave it too long as events are filling up fast.
